A Mind Governed by the Spirit | Romans 8:6
Theme: Growing Stronger in Christ
The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, Romans 8:6
Our thoughts have a powerful influence on the direction of our lives.
Romans 8:6 contrasts the mind governed by the flesh with the mind governed by the Spirit. One leads to death, while the other leads to life and peace.
What we continually allow into our minds influences our attitudes, reactions, and decisions.
When our thinking is controlled by fear, resentment, selfishness, or worldly desires, our spiritual lives suffer.
But as we submit our thinking to the Holy Spirit and allow God’s Word to shape our understanding, we begin to experience the life and peace He provides.
Today’s encouragement: Pay attention to what is influencing your thoughts. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your thinking today.
